The following partners fund and guide ECOLOTS to help deliver more sustainable land management of the Natural Environment in the UK.
Natural England works for people, places and nature, to enhance biodiversity, landscapes and wildlife in rural, urban, coastal and marine areas; promote access, recreation and public well-being; and contribute to the way natural resources are managed so that they can be enjoyed now and in the future.
The Forestry Commission is the largest land manager in Britain and the biggest provider of outdoor recreation. They are the Government Department responsible for protecting, expanding and promoting the sustainable management of woodland and increasing their value to society and the environment.
The Countryside Council for Wales is the Government's statutory advisor on sustaining natural beauty, wildlife and the opportunity for outdoor enjoyment in Wales and its inshore waters.
The RSPB is the UK charity working to secure a healthy environment for birds and other wildlife, helping to create a better world for us all.
ECOLOTS was initiated to help address market failure, develop networks and improve viability of rural businesses and community initiatives that help maintain a healthy natural environment.
